On Saturday 26th August 2017, Exeter city centre will once again be brought to life with dozens of exciting live art performances. Musicians, acrobats, jugglers, thespians, artists, poets, dancers, circus acts, and bands will fill the city centre streets with colour and sound as they perform and interact with passing audiences between 10am and 5pm at designated pitches in High Street, Princesshay, Gandy Street, Fore Street, Cathedral Green, Exeter Quay, Heavitree Fore Street & Pleasure Grounds, and the cafe terrace at Exeter Phoenix.
As well as dozens of performances, there will be family-friendly dance workshops led by professionals taking place in Princesshay Square; roaming interactive theatre on the city centre streets, poetry, storytelling, medieval and circus skills on the cathedral green; and a graffiti art workshop led by the amazing Miss C’s Graffiti Academy outside Exeter Phoenix.
Local artists and craftspeople will also be showcasing their wares on market stalls in the High Street and at Exeter Quay, and to top it all off, there is an after-party event planned for the evening at Exeter Phoenix, in association with Jam The Channel. This event is organised by Music In Devon Initiative, and supported by Exeter City Council, Exeter BID, Interwoven Productions and Exeter Phoenix.
